If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please first fill out the dog adoption application form before contacting us. After logging in, click on the Forms/Applications button on the left side of the screen to obtain the form. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt but it serves two purposes. First, the information provided tells us the conditions under which the dog would live and guides us in the adoption procedure. Second, the form is lengthly and spending your time to complete it, tells us that this is a serious adoption inquiry. Because of the nearly continuous rescue work DHS is called upon to do in this area, time is often lacking to interact with visitors who only have a question about a dog that they see listed on the web.
