Learn more about the Redbone Coonhound.

All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.

Rusty seems to have been surviving on his own for quite a while. He was very thin when rescued and he is a moderate heart worm positive (but is scheduled for treatment in January). He is a sweet friendly dog but it is obvious that he has not ever lived inside or been treated as a member of the family. He is good with all other dogs, likes his crate, and although pulls, is doing well on his leash walking. With some one on one care and attention, he will be a great member of an active family.
