Learn more about the Great Dane.

All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.

Genie is a big beautiful girl. Her coat is so shiny and slick that she looks like a seal when she is outside playing in the sun. She acts like a seal a lot too. She entertains herself for hours (while she is out in the play yard) by throwing sticks, toys and even her food dish around and trying to catch them. She is a sweet friendly dog and very athletic. She can run for hours. But she isn't hyper. She will lie quietly while in the house but will counter surf occasionally. Genie would make a great pet for an active family that loves the outdoors. Hiking, swimming and camping would be right up her alley. Genie is a big girl and very healthy but is slightly heart worm positive, which is no surprise as she was found as a stray and almost starving while nursing her litter of babies. (see her last picture) Genie has been on heart worm preventative for 2 years and should be heart worm negative soon.  Her babies have all gotten great homes. Now it is her turn.

Genie likes all other dogs, and is leash, crate and house trained.  She is such a beautiful dog!
