All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
Graycee is a beautiful dog with a gorgeous dark brindle coat. She wandered into a family's yard and promptly gave birth. Her puppies are grown and now it is Graycee's time to find a forever home. She is a sweet, playful dog. She looks like she is smiling at times. She is good with most other dogs but is a little possesive with her treats. Grayceee is leash, house and crate trained. She will playfully chase kitties if they will run. Otherwise she ignores them. Graycee was a moderate Heart worm positive when tested in Jan. 2010 but has been on preventative since then and is ready to be retested.
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
The DHS organized in November 2008 to care for the unwanted and neglected animals of Northeastern Louisiana. We are funded only by donations. We ARE making a difference but we still have a LOT to do....
