DHS does not have a facility. All of our animals are housed in foster homes. Therefore, we require having a completed adoption application on file before we ask our foster families to rearrange their schedules for a meet and greet or answer individual inquiries. And, please be patient, we are staffed only by volunteers. It may be a few days before you hear from us.
Curly is one of three happy, chubby puppies that came in together. They are friendly and playful. They bark at other dogs when together in their kennel but play with everyone when they are out and about. Curly is exuberent and might not be the best choice for a family with very small children. But, he will settle when he matures a bit, especially if given obedience training. He will make a great pet for an active family that wants to spend time with him.

All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
