DHS does not have a facility. All of our animals are housed in foster homes. Therefore, we require having a completed adoption application on file before we ask our foster families to rearrange their schedules for a meet and greet or answer individual inquiries. And, please be patient, we are staffed only by volunteers. It may be a few days before you hear from us.
Sigma is the only male puppy from a litter of puppies born to a feral mom. The mom looks like a petitie yellow Lab, as do his sisters, Tess, Pixie and Kiki. They are all friendly and happy. They have been living in an outside kennel so may need a little help with their house training. But, like most Labs, they should be easyily trainable as they are very motivated to please. Sigma is a healthy, handsome boy and will be a great addition to any family. Sigma has some big boy feet, so may grow to be larger than his sisters or mom. We have no way of knowing since his dad is unknown. NO matter how big he gets, he will be loyal and easy to train because he already tries very hard to please, a common characteristic of Labs. Sigma has not yet been neutered but will be prior to adoption.

All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after. Submitting an application never obligates you to adopt but we will have a better understanding of your needs so that we can better answer your questions.
