Login to Remember your Favorite Animals and Breeds!

DHS does not have a facility. All of our animals are housed in foster homes. Therefore, we require having a completed adoption application on file before we ask our foster families to rearrange their schedules for a meet and greet or answer individual inquiries. And, please be patient, we are staffed only by volunteers. It may be a few days before you hear from us.

Satin is the perfect little cane corso mastiff.. she loves to play with the dogs (big and small) and sleep with the cats. She has the most innocent big green eyes, that will never allow you to be upset with her over 30 seconds! She was picked up as a stray in November, 2011 and taken to a shelter, she had apparently been hit by a car. She has since been through surgery and is ready to find her forever home. She's great at alerting her family when she hears something out of the ordinary and otherwise, is just your typical mastiff couch potato. Are you ready for this little lady to be the queen of your house? Email lamastiff@gmail.com for an adoption application or any questions concerning Satin - thanks for your interest in rescuing a giant!

More about Satin

Good with Cats, Good with Kids

All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
Since all of our animals are housed with fosters, we ask that you submit a completed application before  we answer individual inquiries. Submitting an application never obligates you to adopt but we will have a better understanding of your needs so that we can better answer your questions.
