DHS does not have a facility. All of our animals are housed in foster homes. Therefore, we require having a completed adoption application on file before we ask our foster families to rearrange their schedules for a meet and greet or answer individual inquiries. And, please be patient, we are staffed only by volunteers. It may be a few days before you hear from us.
Sunny is a sweet quiet dog. She came in with her puppies, who have all gone to homes. Now, it is her turn to find a loving family. Sunny would fit with any lifestyle. She has perfect manners in the house and loves to be with people. She likes to go back in her crate during the day for naps or to chew on a toy. She is very quiet and ladylike but will play with other dogs happily.

All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
