DHS does not have a facility. All of our animals are housed in foster homes. Therefore, we require having a completed adoption application on file before we ask our foster families to rearrange their schedules for a meet and greet or answer individual inquiries. And, please be patient, we are staffed only by volunteers. It may be a few days before you hear from us.
JB is a sweet little playful girl...once she gets to know you and is comfortable in her surroundings. This will take a good deal of time as we believe she was treated badly wherever she was before coming into DHS. Once she does settle in , she is playful and mischeivous. She will need a very quiet, structured environment to reach her full potention. She is HW positve but will be treated prior to or during adoption.

All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
