DHS does not have a facility. All of our animals are housed in foster homes. Therefore, we require having a completed adoption application on file before we ask our foster families to rearrange their schedules for a meet and greet or answer individual inquiries. And, please be patient, we are staffed only by volunteers. It may be a few days before you hear from us.
Cruz is a happy perky 2 yr old beagle mix neutered male. He is a great dog and loves to hang out with the family. He is good in the house and loves his crate. He is a little timid on a leash. Cruz is a very light heart worm positive. He climbs and will climb in and out of kennels to play with his dog friends or hang out with people. He is fairly quiet and would need a couple of days to warm up to his family,. He is good with cats and other dogs and should be gentle enough for small children.

They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
